Leak Security System

KEMPER Leak Security System

An undetected leak is the reason for costly reconstruction work in buildings after water damage.

If a leak develops through a pipe burst, weak points in the connections or in the drinking water system's building services equipment, water often flows unnoticed for hours or days in highly sensitive building zones, for instance in engineering, residential and storage areas. The flooding is often only detected when the water starts dripping from the ceiling or is already flowing from the house door to the street area.

Plants and supply lines in the engineering rooms in the cellar, roof units or shaft installations are areas that need to be critically monitored - that is where the risk of flooding usually emerges. The costs for reconstructing rooms and the items destroyed by the water are only shouldered by the casualty insurance in the best cases. The efforts of the people involved needed to remedy the chaotic situation are not compensated. It is often the case that irreplaceable intangible valuables are destroyed, resulting in personal damage that is irreparable.

The solution -
Prevention through the KEMPER Leak Security System

1) KHS-VAV-plus or KHS-VAV with/without spring-reset servodrive
2) max. 50 water sensor with up to 2 possible monitored lines
(each with max. 25 water sensor per monitored line) Figure 620 00 001
3) KEMPER leak controller with integrated timer
4) Location: Drinking water building connection room or roof units with
    drinking water heater

Benefits at a glance

  • Secure detection of a leak by using a water sensor with immediate drinking water system shutoff
  • Space-saving, easily-retrofit package for all types of buildings in inventory as well as new buildings
  • DVGW-approved maximum flow isolating ball without concussion through slow closing / opening according to DIN EN 13828
  • Timer programming facilitates automatic security when leaving the building or during long absences
  • Acoustic and visual alarm to the leak controller reports a leak
  • The alarm can be forwarded to a building control system (BMS)

Application example

The KEMPER Leak Security System is installed in the drinking water installation directly before the building area you want to monitor. The supply line for the individual plants, the drinking water heating in the roof unit, the line section in the storage room through which the drinking water installation is installed or even the drinking water building connection in the building connection room in each building can be shut off.
